There are 6 elements every landing page needs to maximize the number of subscribers you get. Every missing element lowers your conversion rates.
1. Identity
They should know who you are when they arrive on your page. Include the following information on your landing pages:
- Logo
- Business name
- Contact details – address, phone, email
- Privacy policy
- About you [brief]
2. Credibility
A reader is more likely to trust you if other people trust you. Bonus points if these are people your reader trusts. Include authoritative websites in an “as seen on” section on your landing page, as well as trust logos (certifications, security etc.)
3. Relevance
Don’t send vegans to a page about steak. The offer and copy on your landing page should be relevant to your market.
4. Social Proof
Let readers know other people have downloaded your offer and are seeing results. Include testimonials and download counters.
5. Urgency
Nothing increases conversion rates like the fear of missing out. If your offer has limited availability, mention this on the landing page.
6. Usability
Explain to the reader what they need to do to get your offer. Your form should be easily identifiable and your buttons should look like they ought to be clicked (colour, copy, whitespace).
