Stop Waiting to Sell

This is a common list building and email marketing mistake: Waiting to sell.

You don’t have to nurture a subscriber for X days before they’re ready to buy from you. In fact, the opposite is true. The longer you wait, the less likely they are to buy. Conversion rates for subscribers older than 30 days fall off a cliff.

Subscribers are at their hottest, most-ready-to-buy as soon as they give you their email address. Remember, there’s a reason why they subscribed in the first place. Typically, they want to solve a problem. If you put an irresistible offer in front of them that solves their problem, they will buy. It’s as simple as that.

The key is to make sure your funnel–lead magnet, landing page, thank you page and follow-up offer–is perfectly aligned with the problem your offer solves for your subscriber.
