I know this copywriter. American Orthodox Jew. We came up together. Were in the same coaching programs together. Got along great because we were the only two religious conservatives in a room full of secular liberals.

I’ve thought of her these past couple of days.

She lives in Israel with her family. I wonder how my wife would feel if we were in her situation. I think about her children. Like me she has many. I wonder how my own babies would feel. I think about her husband. I wonder how I’d feel if I had to keep my family safe in a war zone.

I don’t know anyone in Gaza. I imagine if I did I’d think about them too. And wonder how we’d feel.
